The project officially started on the 1st of July 2021, and will finish on the 30th of June 2025. Its purpose is to provide accommodation, health and educational assistance to a group of 123 boys and girls from the Children of the Noon family village who are HIV-positive since birth, with specific reference to:
- Food
- Medical treatment and laboratory examinations
- Primary school attendance and related school materials
AINA Onlus is committed to guaranteeing at least 5 meals a day to each resident, which is fundamental for the sustenance of a child with a deficient immune system. An essential requirement for the health of the resident children is medical treatment related to the onset of HIV-induced illnesses and the CD4 count, which measures the immune response to infections.
Education is provided by the primary school located within the family village – which corresponds to our primary and middle school – recognised by the Ministry of Education, a government sect dedicated to ensuring excellent education.
The project is supported with the funds from the Eight per Thousand of the Waldensian Church.
